Monthly bingo in aid of the hall
The first monthly bingo organised by the Victory Hall Committee in October 2023 was a fantastic success. Last Tuesday of the month, apart from December at 7.30pm in the hall.
Open Gardens Day 2024
South Zeal and South Tawton Open Gardens Day, Sunday 9th June 10am to 5pm.
The main annual fund raising event for South Zeal Victory Hall since the 1990’s, the highly popular Open Gardens Day for South Zeal and South Tawton is being held on Sunday June 9th from 10am to 5pm.
A day filled with thirteen wonderful gardens to visit, lunches and fabulous puddings in the hall to be enjoyed, ‘pop up’ garden teas and snacks, musical entertainment and more, including a wonderful O gauge model railway.
Here’s everything you need to know about the day….
Entry fee: Entry to the gardens is by programme, £5 per person (children free). Available the week prior from The King’s Arms, South Zeal (cash only and correct money please) and on the day from The Victory Hall, South Zeal, EX20 2JR between 9.45am and 4pm.
Parking: Free parking available at The King’s Arms
Cash only: Programmes, lunches in the hall, plant and tool sales and teas are cash only, so please have your change ready.
Lunches: In The Victory Hall from 12 to 2pm. Ploughmans £6, desserts £4.
Gardens teas and snacks: See the programme for details of the gardens/ times offering refreshments.
Plant sale and tool sale: On Greenbank, opposite The Victory Hall between 10am and 2pm.
Dogs: Assistance dogs only.
Other events include: Moor Harmony’s concert 1pm St.Mary’s Chapel. Emily’s Balmaidens, garden no 6 2.30pm.
